What’s more exciting to you? Winning $100, $200, $500? Or winning $1,000, $2,000, $5,000? I think it’s pretty obvious, right? Most people are attracted to the higher amounts, myself included! That’s really the main reason I do this: Higher limit slot play offers a bigger thrill, bigger jackpot potential, and frankly, I’m lucky enough that I can afford to spend bigger money on slots.
Obviously, the bigger thrill simply comes from having more at stake. What would you be more concerned about? Losing just one dollar? Or losing a thousand? Sure, more risk means more reward, but it also means more tension – and that can be a good or bad thing, depending on how you look at it. From my perspective, since losing a thousand dollars isn’t going to bankrupt me, I prefer to spend the higher amounts. (Although, even I can get carried away sometimes, like that time I lost $100,000 on slots in 10 minutes – eek!)
And then, of course, there’s the bigger jackpot potential. A while back, I was lucky enough to win $100,000! (If you haven’t seen it yet, you should check out that video here.) But, love it or hate it, a win that massive has upped my thrill threshold. Nowadays, while winning $6,000 or $7,000 is certainly a welcome experience, it just doesn’t live up to that incredible feeling when I won $100K. Today, I have a need to surpass it; but what’s the only way I can do it? Well, I need to play high limit slots. Low limit won’t get me there.
Incidentally, this is also the reason that my free app uses big numbers too. The app is all play money anyway (you don’t win or lose anything), so I figured, let’s make the numbers massive to better reflect the type of play I already do in the casino!
Fortunately, I can afford that kind of real-life casino play, and I can lose a lot of money, and still come out financially okay. Many people simply can’t afford this, and so – to be safe – they shouldn’t try. (Never spend what you can’t afford to lose!) Instead, I welcome them to live vicariously through me! Even though there have been a few hiccups, overall, I’ve done well in business, and so, after taking care of my family, and donating frequently and heavily to charity, why not use the extra money to do something that brings me so much joy?
Even today, I still continue to work very hard at my other business endeavors, and those efforts allow me the luxury of being able to spend more on slots, lose more on slots, and hopefully, win more on slots too.
