How to have casino fun at home

Whether you’re on lockdown at home due a global pandemic, or just a homebody during normal times of the year, it can be hard (and often boring) to have casino fun at home. But it’s possible; it’s definitely possible. This type of fun can really fall into two categories: online and in-person. Let’s have a look at both.

First, there are a ton of free casino apps out there – poker, blackjack, roulette, and every other game under the sun, including slots. And not to toot my own horn, but I happen to think The Big Jackpot slot app is the best one available, and incidentally, it’s also completely free, so if this sounds appealing to you, then you should definitely check it out.

But maybe you don’t like to hover over a phone or an iPad – I get it, I really do. Perhaps you’re more into sitting at your desk in front of a keyboard, and playing on a computer. Well, even though I’m personally not the biggest fan of online casinos, there are plenty of them out there, and many of them are high quality. For some, you can even win real money, so that’s always a plus.

I mean, really, you could turn anything into gambling, if you’re creative enough. YouTube has footage of almost every kind of racing you can imagine (and probably more that you can’t). Do you and your family like betting on random things? Why not watch horse racing videos on YouTube, and bet on that? Or even turtle racing videos on YouTube, and bet on that? Or, if nobody in your family has seen these How Much Will I Win?videos that I’ve made (like this one, this one, or this one), you could always try to bet on the answer to that question. (Spoiler alert: I lose often.) But NO CHEATING! If you’ve already seen the videos, don’t try to hustle your family; come on, now.

Or maybe you and your family want to move away from screen time? You guys know how to play poker, don’t you? Or blackjack? Get some games going, take a big cut for the house, mix some drinks, put them on a cocktail tray, and serve them to your family (but only if they’re gambling – no freeloaders!).

And if you really wanna get down and dirty, grab yourself a metal burn barrel, throw some newspaper inside, set it on fire, and shoot craps in a lonely corner of your home using monopoly dice, just like authentic street-toughs.

The point is this: Even if you’re stuck at home, modern technology has casino answers for you. And even if the internet collapses tomorrow, you still have many, many options (so be sure to print this out, just in case that does happen…even though it won’t). And, of course, whatever kind of casino fun you’re gonna pursue at home, whether alone or with your family, keep on chasing that Big Jackpot. See you guys again soon!
